MMSC 2025

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) Workshop
(Limited to 50 Participants – First Come, First Serve!)

Join us for a comprehensive hands-on workshop led by A/Prof. Dr. Mimi Yow and a highly esteemed team of OMT experts from the SingHealth Duke-NUS Sleep Centre, Singapore. This workshop is designed for multidisciplinary practitioners who wish to incorporate Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) into the management of patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

The workshop focuses on the key role of OMT in improving upper airway muscle function and reducing OSA symptoms. Participants will learn evidence-based isotonic and isometric exercises for the orofacial muscles related to breathing and stomatognathic functions, which have been shown to reduce snoring, improve oxygen saturation, and enhance sleep quality.

The workshop will include live demonstrations, practical exercises, and guidance on how to incorporate OMT into your patient treatment plans. A special focus will be on the use of OMT as part of a multimodal approach to OSA, with insights into patient responses and expected outcomes. You will also receive hands-on practice with various OMT exercises and devices designed to enhance patient outcomes.
